Award amount and number of awards are not published on the foundation's scholarship page. Useful context for judging the size: the predecessor organization, the Anna High School Scholarship Foundation, reported having awarded more than $158,000 in scholarships over its lifetime before folding into AEF, which points to a program that makes multiple modest one-time awards each spring rather than one large renewable award. DeadlineANNUAL SPRING CYCLE. The AEF scholarship application is posted each JANUARY (the foundation's own scholarship page carries the standing notice to check back in January for the application) and the most recent cycle closed MARCH 1. Plan on a January-open / March 1-close window and expect the next cycle to open January 2027 and close on or about March 1, 2027. The application is not available outside that window, so a senior who checks the page in the fall will find nothing posted - that is normal, not a dead program. Set a reminder for early January and check both aef.annaisd.org and the Anna High School counseling office.
EligibilityGraduating Anna ISD seniors. AEF is the district-wide education foundation for Anna Independent School District (Collin County, Texas) and it absorbed the Anna High School Scholarship Foundation, so this is the successor to the town's long-running senior scholarship. IMPORTANT DISTINCTION - unlike many Texas ISD education foundations that fund ONLY teacher grants, AEF runs BOTH tracks: 'Grants for Great Ideas' classroom grants for teachers AND a senior scholarship for students. Make sure you are on the Senior Scholarship Application, not the grant application. Specific GPA, essay, recommendation and financial-need requirements are not published outside the open application window; the application itself carries them.
