Atmore Rotary Club Academic All-Star Program & Merit Scholarships
Scales with the number of years honored: $1,000 for a four-year Academic All-Star, $700 for three years, $600 for two years and $500 for one year. Named merit awards of $1,000-$2,000 are given alongside them (Little John Memorial, William & Mary Grissett Memorial, Randolph B. Luttrell Sr. Memorial). More than $30,000 is awarded each year.
DeadlineAnnual cycle - Academic All-Stars are named through the schools during the spring and the awards banquet is held in May (the 41st annual program was held May 13, 2026). Confirm the current year's timeline with your school counselor or the Atmore Rotary Club.
EligibilityGraduating seniors at the four Atmore-area high schools the program serves: Escambia County High School (Atmore), Escambia Academy, Atmore Christian School and Northview High School (just across the Florida line). Students qualify by being named an Academic All-Star, which requires maintaining all A's and B's; the award amount scales with how many years the student has been named. Students are identified through their school, so begin with your school counselor. Roughly 175-190 students are honored each year.
