EligibilityGraduating high school seniors in Austin County, Texas, including Sealy, Bellville and Brazos high schools. Candidates are evaluated on high school success, community involvement and financial need. Named awards: Austin County Fair Memorial Scholarship (awarded to Austin County youth for the work they put into their 4-H and FFA projects), Harold Luhn Agricultural Memorial Scholarship (awarded since 2009 to an exhibitor pursuing a course of study in agriculture), Judy Tiemann Memorial Scholarship (calf scramble participants, in memory of the calf scramble founder), Ed Michalke Memorial Scholarship, C.W. and Lillie Brandes Memorial Scholarship, and the Ranchers Ride in Memory of Douglas and Kay Marek Scholarship. The Association has awarded scholarships in memory of deceased directors and their spouses since 1992.
