Beverly Maasak Ahgeak Memorial Scholarship (Barrow Utilities & Electric Cooperative)

$1,500 each to five (5) graduating seniors (amount and number set annually by the BUECI board)

DeadlineAnnual — ~Feb 23 deadline; the 2026 cycle has closed — check the application page for the 2027 cycle

EligibilityGraduating high school seniors whose diploma or equivalent was earned in Barrow / Utqiagvik (including home school) or at an Alaska boarding school, where the applicant or their parent or guardian holds BUECI membership. Recipients must be enrolled full-time or part-time at a U.S. educational institution when funds disburse, and must be starting a new educational or apprenticeship program.
