Butte Electric Cooperative Scholarship (Belle Fourche area members)

Two $1,250 awards and three $1,000 awards each year

DeadlineAnnual cycle; the 2026 round has closed. The fillable application is posted on the cooperative scholarship page each winter for the following school year.

EligibilityDependent children of Butte Electric Cooperative members (the cooperative serves rural western South Dakota out of Newell, including the Belle Fourche area in Butte County). Applicants must be pursuing a degree or certification from an accredited post-secondary institution. Selection weighs work experience, community involvement, future plans, a letter of recommendation and a written essay. Previous BEC scholarship recipients are not eligible. Contact: 605-456-2494.
