Tuition-only awards; several granted each year (more than $190,000 awarded to date). Checks are made payable directly to the college, university or trade school.

EligibilityCapitola Junior Lifeguard instructors and former Capitola Jr. Lifeguards who are high school graduates planning to attend an accredited college or trade school full time (12+ units) in the fall. Applicants must have completed a minimum of four years in the Capitola Junior Lifeguard Program (at least three years enrolled plus reaching the A level or U19 program). Selection weighs long-term commitment and positive progression in the program, with additional consideration for leadership — U19, mentoring younger guards, community volunteering, competitions or Parents Club involvement. Not awarded to students who already have a full-ride scholarship.
