College Arena (“College Arena,” “we,” “us”) is a college-planning platform operated by College Planning Center for high-school students (ages 13 and up) and their families and counselors. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Account & profile data — name, email, role (student / parent / counselor), grade level, and the academic and activity information you add (e.g. GPA, test scores, class rank, activities, awards, college list). Sources are either counselor-provisioned (entered or invited by your counselor) or student-entered (added by you in the app).
Usage data — basic, privacy-preserving analytics about how the app is used, to improve it.
We use your information solely to provide the educational service: to build your résumé and activity profile, deliver the courses and planning tools, support your counselor relationship, secure your account, and communicate with you about the service. We do not use it for any unrelated purpose.
We use a small set of trusted providers, each contractually bound to protect your data and use it only to provide their service to us:

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use student data for targeted or behavioral advertising, profiling for non-educational purposes, or any commercial purpose beyond providing the service. We serve no third-party ads to students.
We retain your information only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and then delete or de-identify it within a reasonable period. You can request export or deletion of your data at any time, and account holders can delete their account in-app (Settings) — deleting an account permanently removes its associated data.
You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. For a student who is a minor, a parent/guardian (or the student’s school/counselor) may review, correct, or request deletion of the student’s data. When a school or counselor provides College Arena to students, we act as a “school official” with a legitimate educational interest under FERPA. In that role we operate under the school’s direct control, use education records only for the authorized educational purpose, and do not re-disclose personally identifiable information without authorization. School customers may enter a separate data-processing agreement with us.
We protect your information with industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, access controls, and least-privilege practices through our infrastructure providers.
In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users and, where applicable, the relevant school or authorities, consistent with applicable state breach-notification laws.
College Arena is intended for students aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
